Hello. I've finally decided to update this comic series. So I've rediscovered how difficult it is to draw on a tablet. At least with pen and paper, you can directly see where you're drawing, but with a tablet, you have to estimate where on your tablet you're drawing in comparison to the screen. I hope that made sense. Anyways, I am introducing a new character: Jeny. Hooray. Recently, the lab that I work in is getting ready for an extravagant earthquake drill. Therefore, all boxes under desks must be cleared so that a person can duck and cover safely. The only problem that I've realized is that there really isn't anything to hold onto since these desks don't have legs. They are just box-shaped desks. So I guess if you really want to hold onto something during an earthquake, you could grab the corner of the desk, but at your own risk. I mean sacrificing a couple fingers for your life seems reasonable unless you're a pianist or a hand surgeon or even a hand model.
Back to the point of this comic. I think it was last week when I walked into lab and saw Jeny shuffling around some boxes and then suddenly grabbing a bottle of chemicals. And thus, I witnessed the death of a spider. It was one weird looking spider. At first I thought it was a mutated bug because it had 6 legs and 2 long antennae, but after seeing it walk, it was definitely a spider. And of course, being a tiny bit arachnophobic, courtesy of the the movie Arachnophobia, I kept my distance as Jeny attempted to kill this creature. After a couple squirts of ethanol, some dousing of bleach, and blunt force from a broom, this resilient spider left this world in several pieces. So what did I learn? Don't be reincarnated as a spider in the next life. The odds are not in your favor.
